In Greek, Anapneo means “to breathe” — our most fundamental human need. We fused it with Neo — meaning “new” — to define a smarter, more informed, and more controlled way to live.
Our founder, Dr. Anastasios, is the architect of this mission, built on a foundation of 25 years of specialized experience.
His background includes a unique academic trifecta — a BSc in Electronics, an MSc in Wireless Communications, and a PhD in Remote Healthcare Monitoring — which he applied over more than a decade in the design of cutting-edge medical devices.
This rare combination of expertise was brought to a personal problem: the lack of air quality monitoring systems that met his standards for precision, connectivity, and usability.
Unable to find a system he truly trusted for his own family, he set out to build one himself — refusing to compromise on how air quality should be measured, understood, and controlled.
What began as a personal need became a deep engineering pursuit.
He began with a full evaluation of sensor technologies, unlocking their performance through custom firmware and calibration. A high-resolution IPS display was selected and paired with a custom-built interface designed for clarity, readability, and real-time insight.
At the hardware level, the system was built around a carefully chosen microcontroller capable of handling Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Low Energy. The PCB underwent multiple iterations, refined through thermal analysis to ensure efficiency, stability, and safety.
Every element of the enclosure was designed with purpose — compact, optimized for airflow, and refined through successive prototypes to achieve both form and function in a small footprint.
On the software side, the system integrates an intuitive interface navigable with minimal input, seamless Wi-Fi onboarding, a lightweight embedded web server, and a dedicated BLE experience for local control and monitoring. Each device is validated for consistency to ensure reliable, repeatable results.
